GETTING AROUND DOWNTOWN DURING FIFA WORLD CUP 2026™

Give Yourself a Little Extra Time: Traffic patterns and road access downtown will look different on event days, so give yourself a buffer before heading in.

Keeping Fans Safe on the Sidewalks: In preparation for the expected number of people in the downtown area, especially around the FIFA Fan Festival™ location and Atlanta Stadium for matches, a pedestrian protection barrier will be implemented around the perimeter of Centennial Olympic Park, specifically along Centennial Olympic Park Drive and Marietta Street.

Two Lanes, Fully Moving on Centennial Olympic Park Drive: Two lanes are impacted by the pedestrian protection barrier, but the remaining two lanes will remain open unless in the case of an emergency. All properties and side streets remain fully accessible.

Marietta Street Has You Covered: The lane closest to Centennial Olympic Park between Centennial Olympic Park Drive and Park Avenue will be closed during the operating hours of FIFA Fan Festival™. At all other times, all lanes on Marietta Street will remain open unless emergency conditions require additional closures.
